This DIY Basic skills course will shine a light on a range of home maintenance tasks, enabling you to go home feeling more comfortable to undertake some simple jobs around your house. From putting up a shelf to unblocking a sink. The course involves some theory and some practical with everyone having the option to participate in a hands-on way and ask as many questions as they need. This taster course will give you a footing to start your DIY journey from.

This course will provide you the knowledge and skills of hand and power tools to complete simple home woodworking tasks by yourself. Taking the mystery out of carpentry. With basic carpentry theory and practical time developing your skills you will come away from this course with a new love of woodworking.

The Carpentry Improvers course covers elements of both household carpentry and joinery practical exercises so you can tackle to-do list jobs as well as getting creative. We cover some carpentry theory and lots of practice time to hone your skills. A good way for those with some experience to grow and practice their sawdust making!

A little more information
All courses include refreshments- tea, coffee and soft drinks as well as biscuits.
(vegan and gluten free options will be available (notice of any other dietary needs/ allergies should be submitted a week in advance of course dates)
Clothing: Wear old clothes suitable for getting dirty and appropriate flat bottomed shoes should be worn and any long hair tied back.
All tools and PPE will be provided on the day.
Don’t forget to bring a pen and some paper or a notebook for taking notes.
We may ask your permission to take some photographs for or short video clips for our marketing purposes. If you would rather not be photographed or filmed please let us know in advance.
