Our courses are designed for people of any level of experience. From basic and beginners' skills to improver and advanced sessions we can walk you through your practical skills journey from beginning to end, providing you with the understand and experience you need to undertake a wide range of projects and tasks on your own. We will be available to answer your questions after the course if you are struggling to achieve what you would like or just need some advice.

DIY basic skills | £55.00

This DIY Basic skills course will shine a light on a range of home maintenance tasks, enabling you to go home feeling more comfortable to undertake some simple jobs around your house. From putting up a shelf to unblocking a sink. The course involves some theory and some practical with everyone having the option to participate in a hands-on way and ask as many questions as they need.

This taster course will give you a footing to start your DIY journey from.

Location: Our workshop in Lewes on the Phoenix Estate

Duration: 3.5 hours

carpentry workshop classes

Carpentry basics | £105.00

This course will provide you the knowledge and skills of tools and process to complete simple home woodworking tasks by yourself. Taking the mystery out of carpentry. With basic carpentry theory and practical time developing your skills you will come away from this course with a completed Hallway shelf unit or tool box to take home with you alongside your new knowledge and experience.

Location: Our workshop in Lewes on the Phoenix Estate

Duration: 6 Hours 11am-5pm on Saturdays

Carpentry Improvers | £200.00

    🔧 decorating: preparation, materials, repairs, painting walls and woodwork

    🔧 basic plumbing: unblocking drains and replacing sinks and taps.

Duration: 2x 6 hour days over one weekend

Bricklaying Basics | £100.00

Powertool Basics | £40.00

  • Hands on power tool practice with guidance and advice in safety and correct use of these tools:

    🔨 routers, biscuit jointers

A variety of woodworking tools and materials arranged on a wooden workbench, including saws, hammers, chisels, measuring tape, clamps, wood samples, and tape rolls.

A little more information

All courses include refreshments- tea, coffee and soft drinks as well as biscuits.

(vegan and gluten free options will be available (notice of any other dietary needs/ allergies should be submitted a week in advance of course dates)

Clothing: Wear old clothes suitable for getting dirty and appropriate flat bottomed shoes should be worn  and any long hair tied back.

All tools and PPE will be provided on the day.

Don’t forget to bring a pen and some paper or a notebook for taking notes.

We may ask your permission to take some photographs for or short video clips for our marketing purposes. If you would rather not be photographed or filmed please let us know in advance.
